When it comes to Mother’s Day, there’s nothing I love more than celebrating outside, sipping coffee by the campfire, hiking with my kids, or enjoying sunset charcuterie under the stars. Mom's don't need things and I usually vouch for experience gifts (spa day is never a bad idea either...) but if you want to buy mom something special this year I figured I'd share some of my faves!
So for anyone shopping for an outdoorsy mom this year (or for anyone like me dropping hints), here are my tried-and-true favorites. These are all things I already own and adore, so you can’t go wrong gifting them.
Short on time, here is the shortlist:
High Camp Flasks Wine Flask – around $129–$139
PAKA Alpaca Clothing – typical items range $39–$165+ by piece
Breeo Smokeless Fire Pit – Y Series – around $399 (fire pit)
Cast Iron Cookware – basic skillets often $50–$100+, specialty pieces more
Cute Day Backpack – BagSmart Faro Light Backpack – around $69.99
E‑Bike with Kid Seats – e‑bikes typically $1,000–$2,000+, depending on model and accessories
Insulated Stainless Coffee Mug – Yeti Rambler–style – around $20–$40 depending on size
Favorite Adventure Overalls – by Allover – overalls around $169
Portable Outdoor Projector – Lumi – around $400
Coffee Percolator – basic camping percolators around $40–$60
Actually Comfortable Camping Chairs – Portal – hammock‑style camping chairs around $70–$170 depending on style
Rooftop Tent – Freespirit Recreation – king‑size rooftop tents around $2,500–$3,300+
Camping Hammock – standard camping hammocks around $60–$85
Mini Cooler for Picnics – RTIC 8 QT Road Trip Personal Cooler – around $59–$79
Or honestly… Just give me wine & make me charcuterie outside – no price tag needed 😉
I had no idea how much I would love this thing. Its simple but something I wouldn't have thought to buy for myself. Perfect for those campsite happy hours, late-sunset picnics, brining on a hike, and just ditching glass bottles that could be a mess in certain areas (around the pool). Sleek, durable, and actually classy. it keeps your favorite wine chilled and ready to pour.
They have lots of cute colors and styles over at High Camp Flask.
I am a natural fiber girl and I've been trying to switch my wardrobe to 100% natural fibers over the years. One of my favorite brands ever (and potentially half my wardrobe now) is PAKA. Soft, sustainable, and made with natural alpaca fibers. Literally everything they make is amazing, warm, breathable, and perfect for adventuring or lounging at camp.
This was such a huge upgrade for me! It makes cooking so much more fun and cuts the indoor mess. I also love sitting around a fire without getting smoke in my eyes. We got the Breeo Y Series, which is pretty portable so we can bring it on all of our adventures. Plus the grill attachment!
My go-to for backyard hangs and camping nights. It’s smokeless (no more shifting around for air), and the grill attachments make it a mini camp kitchen dream.
My wish list for mothers day? The pizza oven attachment!!
Safe, healthy, and the ultimate for campfire cooking. It’s indestructible and adds flavor and character with every use. You may already have a the big cast iron, but I love the camping waffle maker, the smaller crock (making a peach crisp here), and various other cast iron for cooking over fire, at camp, or just at home!
For short hikes with kids, I love my BagSmart backpack — lightweight, organized, and fits all the snacks, sunscreen, and random “treasures” my kids find. This one has been with me on tons of adventures and is a total need in my opinion.
Freedom on wheels. E-bikes make family adventures so easy, and if it has seats for the kids, you’ll get extra cool mom points. Whether you are commuting to school pickup or just taking the kids on longer adventures and ebike makes it so much easier and fun!

My Yeti mug has been with me for what feels like 100 years. Durable, insulated, and absolutely essential for warm camp coffee or cocoa on cold mornings. When my daughter was just born I used it at home to actually keep my coffee warm when I forgot about it for 5 hours.
Not going to lie, I wear these almost every day. Comfy, flattering, and functional, the dream combo. Whether hiking, camping, or road-tripping, these overalls are my adventure uniform and they are so cute I wear them out as well. They have a huge side zipper making it super easy to pee in them and they have about a million perfectly placed pockets! You can't go wrong with these.
Family movie nights under the stars? Yes please. This turns any evening into an unforgettable outdoor experience. Some nights you just want to veg out after a long day and yet still want to enjoy the outdoors. This is such a fun family-friendly gift!
The secret to perfect camp coffee. There’s just something magical about brewing it outside, it always tastes better. The percolator is small, cute, and get its right every time. pair it with some cute small espresso cups (ours are by Barebones) and you have won.
These hammock-style chairs are cozy enough for lounging, and bonus points if your kids can nap in them while you sip your coffee in peace. We've had these forever and they are durable, pack down small, and are great for napping!
We’ve had some of our most epic family adventures in ours. Easy setup, amazing views, and the kids think it’s the coolest “treehouse” ever. This one by Freespirit Recreation has a king sized bed and honestly its SO roomy for our family of 3 + dog. It also blacks out completely which is great for bedtime and is 4 season rated (yes, we've taken it winter camping).
I love having camping hammocks. You have to get the super small, compact ones, they fit anywhere so you will go nowhere without them! It’s the ultimate in relaxation, perfect for a quick nap, reading, or just swinging and soaking up nature.

I love my RTIC cooler — durable, portable, and perfect for those impromptu picnics or day trips when snacks are non-negotiable. Bonus points if you fill it with fun surprises for her to open!!!
Or Honestly... Just Give Me Wine & Make Me Charcuterie Outside

Because sometimes the best gifts are simple: sunshine, snacks, laughter, and a little wine.
